Negro seed has a particularly high fat and protein content and is excellently suited for a species-appropriate, varied diet for domestic birds. Wild birds, exotics and parakeets benefit from this tasty source of energy.

Negro seed (also Niger seed) is a very popular addition to bird food. Ramtilla seeds have a very high protein & fat content of about 40% fat and 18% protein. All free-living wild and garden birds benefit from the protein and oil-rich seeds, because the seeds make a valuable contribution to a balanced, species-appropriate diet.

The healthy seed can be offered to native bird species all year round, but the proportion of total seed should not exceed 5 %. Negro seed can also be used as germination feed, but the seeds take a long time to form germ buds.

Feeding instructions:
