The heavy-duty cast iron pump is ideal for use in agriculture for draining and irrigating or for emptying and weeding.
With the PTO water pump "ml 20" you acquire a high-quality, self-priming cast iron pump with PTO connection and safety catch for secure attachment to the tractor. This quality product "Made in Italy" by Ferroniundnbsp;helps you to transport water easily and comfortably.
The smaller sister of the Ferroni pumps can deliver a pumping capacity of 70 to 180 l/min depending on the setting. The ml20 water pump with PTO drive is made of sturdy 11.0 kg cast iron and can be easily attached to the shaft connection (1 3/8") of the tractor or towing vehicle. With the additional safety chain, slippage is prevented and a connection with the ml 20 to the cultivator is also possible with a coupling flange.
Water pumps are available online in different versions and dimensions and are suitable for various applications. In principle, all types of water can be pumped with one pump as long as the correct pump is used. The crucial question you should ask yourself is: Which pump do I need?
Pump over
If you want to pump fresh or waste water, you must use a self-priming pump and pump (also called a garden pump) and pump. A self-priming pump, such as the Goebel ml 20, has both a suction hose and a discharge hose. The suction hose with the bottom basket is placed in the water source of the self-priming pump, so that the water is taken into the pump through the suction hose. The water is then discharged through the pressure hose. When using the pump, make sure that the filter is at least 20 cm below the surface.
Watering/Irrigation
For the irrigation of your and your plant, the field or your garden, you can choose the PTO water pump. Garden pumps are available in a wide variety of designs, with the biggest differences being in the delivery head, suction depth and delivery rate. The deeper the pump has to suck in, the more water pressure is lost. The mtundnbsp;300 has a higher irrigation pressure compared to the ml 20 and creates approx. 280 l/min.

When operating the water pump, avoid operating it dry (without liquid, except during the filling phase) and with liquids containing abrasive substances such as sand. Do not pump drainage liquids and drainage water
Attention: With the ml 20 and mt 300 pumps it is absolutely forbidden to close the escaping liquid jet during normal pump operation. This increase in pressure of the liquid inside the pump would damage the pump and pose a great danger to the user.
Note on use:
- Check the correct installation before operation
- Make sure that the filter at the end of the suction hose is at least 20 cm below the surface
- Pressure line must be connected correctly
- Insert the shaft slowly to avoid breaking the chain at the hooking point and the pump casing
- Reach the desired speed step by step: If the pump has difficulty filling, increase the speed and then reset it to the desired value
- If the problem persists, the bottom valve must be inserted, the hose must be immersed well in the water or the filter must be cleaned
- Keep persons and animals away from the tractor during the starting phase
- Sudden acceleration or deceleration of the feed shaft must be avoided
- After using the pump, it should be cleaned with clean water if it has been used with other liquids
- The pump should then be switched off with the openings pointing downwards to allow the residual water to flow out
IMPORTANT: Insert approx. 0.05 litres of lubricating oil through the openings and close them with the protective caps provided. Lubricate everything evenly with one or two turns, after which the water pump can be shut down for a longer period of time.
