The Kerbl Thermo Trough DUO ensures that your animals have fresh water at the ideal temperature all year round. It is made of durable plastic and offers excellent insulation thanks to the double wall with thermal foam filling. The system is highly effective: The frost prevention through flowing water ensures that the trough remains frost-proof down to approx. -30 °C in winter. A huge advantage for your farm is that no power connection is required for operation, making the choice of location in the pasture or in the open stable extremely flexible.

A closed housing effectively protects the inside from dirt, leaves, or insects, thus guaranteeing optimal water hygiene. Thanks to the well-thought-out design, your animals enjoy a constant water temperature, which is a pleasant 3 to 5 °C in winter and 10 to 12 °C in summer. The model holds 100 liters and is optimally designed for 20 to 30 animals, whereby a minimum stocking of 20 animals is recommended to maintain the necessary water circulation.

Maintenance and handling are easy with this model. The quick emptying through large outlet openings with ø 100 mm allows for swift and uncomplicated cleaning. The trough is designed for stable floor mounting and already comes with all the accessories you need for professional installation.

Questions & Answers:

How does the frost protection work completely without electricity?
The trough uses the natural geothermal heat of the incoming water in combination with the strong insulation of the double wall. When your animals drink regularly, new, warmer water constantly flows in from the pipe, which effectively prevents freezing.

Why is a minimum stocking of 20 animals recommended?
For the principle of flowing water to work, regular water extraction must take place. If fewer than 20 animals use the trough, too little water circulates, which means that frost protection can no longer be fully guaranteed at extreme sub-zero temperatures.

What is the best way to clean the thermo trough?
Due to the closed housing, hardly any dirt gets into the water anyway. For regular cleaning, you simply open the large 100 mm drain plug, let the water flow out quickly, and rinse the basin briefly with clear water.
