With pH-PILL you protect your dairy cows from rumen overacidification. The preparation increases the pH value in the rumen and reduces the risk of lameness and laminitis.
Too much concentrate due to wrongly adjusted rations quickly leads to a creeping rumen overacidification (rumen acidosis) in cows. This can have serious consequences for the health of the cattle. pH-PILL is the first bicarbonate pill against rumen acidosis. The preparation of sodium bicarbonate effectively increases the pH value in the rumen and reducesthe risk of metabolic disturbances, laminitis or lameness. A rumen overacidification can be recognized by a low milk fat content, less than 3% in more than 5% of the cows at the monthly milk check indicates an overacidification of the rumen. A low pH value (< 5,5) in the rumen juice also indicates rumen over-acidity.
