Why a separate brush for the head?
Skin over the face sits directly on bone and has very little padding. Extra soft bristles clean it without the scratching that makes horses turn away.

Can I use it on the legs as well?
Yes. It is a good choice below the knee and hock, where the skin is thin and a stiff brush is uncomfortable.

Will it get a muddy head clean?
For heavy mud let it dry first and brush lightly. The face brush is made for gentle cleaning, not for scrubbing.
