Can I also connect tape to polywire?
Yes, there are special connectors or connection cables for this purpose, which have a plate for the tape on one side and a clamp for polywire or rope on the other. This allows you to bridge power between different fence materials.

How tight can I tension the tape in the connector?
You should pull the tape tight enough so that it does not flutter in the wind. However, do not over-tension it, otherwise the plastic weave of the tape could tear at the edges of the connector. Screw plates should be tightened firmly, but with care.
