The exxeed ultimate is the competition helmet in the uvex exxeed range. It pairs the proven hardshell shell construction of a rigid outer shell and a lightweight EPS core with a carbon topping. The shell absorbs hard impacts, yet the helmet stays as light as a standard hardshell model.

It is certified to EN 1384:2023-06 and ASTM F1163-23, so it is approved for competition in Germany and Austria and also meets the US standard. You set the fit in width and height with the uvex 3D-IAS system, and the premium synthetic leather straps meet in an adjustable Y-divider. The uvex monomatic buckle opens with one hand and with gloves on, while the large ventilation channels with a chrome-plated frame keep your head cool on a summer course. The helmet is made in Germany.

Is the helmet approved for competition?
Yes. It is certified to EN 1384:2023-06, the current European standard for riding helmets, and additionally to the US standard ASTM F1163-23.

How do I find the right size?
Measure your head circumference horizontally above the ears and about one centimetre above the eyebrows. The value in centimetres matches the size marking: 54-56, 56-58, 57-59 or 59-61.

Does a ponytail fit under the helmet?
Yes, the shell has a Ponytail-Cut. You guide a ponytail or hair net through the opening at the back of the head, and the helmet still sits without tipping forward.

When should I replace the helmet?
After every hard fall or blow to the shell, even if there is nothing to see on the outside. The EPS core deforms permanently on impact and no longer offers reliable protection.
