Spelt husks are a versatile natural product: they are suitable both as high-quality bedding for chicken coops and stalls, as well as a fiber-rich supplement in animal feed.

Spelt husks are the shells of spelt grain that are separated during the dehulling process. Especially as spelt bedding, they are highly valued by many animal keepers: thanks to their dust-free and highly absorbent properties, they ensure a hygienic and pleasant stable environment. The husks distribute optimally into every corner, do not form nests, mats, or clumps like straw or hay, and make cleaning particularly easy. In winter, they also provide chickens with an activity, as grains can often be found in the husks, which the animals love to peck for. Furthermore, spelt husks are popular as a fragrant, natural pillow filling.

Beyond their use as bedding, spelt husks are also excellent as a feed supplement for horses, cattle, cows, and other livestock.
