Utilization:

Making butter is very easy with the Milky Butter machine FJ32. Before using the Milky Buttermaker, make sure the buttermilk aperture in the bottom of the buttermaker is closed and the plastic lid is firmly on the housing. Gently press the lid onto the housing. Also make sure the rubber plug is inserted into the lid before starting the machine.

  1. Preparing the cream for making butter is very important as this can affect the taste, flavour and quality of the butter. Ideally, you should use cream that is 2 - 3 days old and stored at 5 °C - 8 °C (in summer) or 8 °C - 10 °C (in winter) for churning. The cream is either processed directly with a butter churn or pasteurized with a pasteurizer before processing. Pasteurisation of the cream is recommended.
  2. The pre-cooled cream is reheated to a temperature of 12 °C to 14 °C. The cream bowl of the butter churn may be filled to no more than the agitator. The longer the buttering time - the better the butter quality. The butter is ready in 20 to 35 minutes, depending on the speed.
  3. After draining the buttermilk, the butter is washed with cold water. If the outlet tap is left open, the butter can already be pre-kneaded with the machine.
  4. Then the butter is kneaded in portions with wet hands and washed again and again until the last bit of buttermilk has been kneaded out of the butter. The individual portions are filled into a wet butter model, it is important that there are no air holes. Then cool down the butter and churn it out of the butter model.

From 100 litres of milk or the 8 to 12 litres of cream, you get around 4 kg of butter and between 5 and 6 litres of buttermilk.
