Spelt husk is a popular litter for laying nests among many livestock farmers. Spelt husks are the shells of spelt. During harvesting and subsequent dehusking, the husk (= shell) is removed from the spelt grain. The husks are dust-free and are perfectly suited as bedding in the stable due to their high absorbency.
