Leimüller Paddy Rice - Nutrient-rich grains with husk cover

Rich in starch, carbohydrates, protein and a good source of vitamins & minerals: Paddy rice belongs in every balanced bird food for larger parakeets, parrots & pigeons.

Paddy rice is raw rice directly after the harvest and still completely enclosed in a firm husk cover. With its husk content of up to 30 percent, this feed is rich in raw fibre and an excellent source of starch. Untreated rice contains valuable vitamins B1, E and K, plenty of iron, magnesium and iodine. It is also an excellent source of carbohydrates, proteins and has a very low fat content.

Paddy rice is very popular with larger parakeets, budgies, parrots and pigeons. Because of the firm grain husk, the rice is not suitable for small birds, as they are usually unable to break the husk with their dainty beaks.
