Leimüller sunflower seeds are a popular single food for grain-eaters, they have a strong, short beak. Compared to shelled sunflower seeds, the shelled seeds have a higher oil content and can be more easily ingested by the animals. As the kernels do not have a shell, they can be fed entirely on the balcony.

The increased amount of healthy, unsaturated fatty acids are an excellent source of energy during the cold season. Also during spring and summer, the energy-rich seeds help with the rearing of young birds. The seeds are also very suitable for feeding dogs, squirrels and other small rodents. They contain many important ingredients such as essential amino acids, iron, copper fluorine and important vitamins (B vitamins, vitamins A and E). In addition, calcium, magnesium, carotene and other minerals & trace elements contribute to sunflower seeds being very healthy.

Extra purified food quality is sometimes used in the feed mixes (e.g. linseed, sunflower seeds hulled, rolled oats, sunflower seeds striped). Other critical products (e.g. yellow millet) are checked at the supplier's and selected using a special cleaning process (colour sorting).
