Barley is very popular in horse feed and also suitable for other farm animals e.g. poultry, pigs, cattle, sheep, goats, chicken & rodents. It is high in energy and low in protein, which is a clear feeding advantage over oats. Oats provide a fast energy supply, whereas barley provides slow energy, so you provide your animals with sufficient power over a longer period of time. The long-lasting effect makes the grain wonderfully suitable for equestrian sports and for temperamental horses. Barley is also ideal as a basic feed in horse Yards or in livestock farming, as the cereal grain is eagerly eaten.

The high-quality straight feed is carefully produced at the traditional Leimüller mill in Austria. Feeding instructions:

For a 600 kg large horse with a medium workload, approximately 1-2 kg of barley per day is optimal. Depending on breed, age, husbandry and type of use, more or less barley is ideal. Ensure a balanced nutrient supply and intake of protein, vitamins and trace elements.
