Resharpening is usually necessary after 1000 to 2000 shears, depending on how soiled the tails are. For best results, separate the inner and outer blades, clean them thoroughly, and apply a thin, even coat of paste. Rotate the blades against each other for one to two minutes until a smooth cutting surface forms. This keeps your TailTrimmer working reliably sharp over many uses when trimming cow tails.
