The Blitz cattle stunning machine is a captive bolt device that has been proven for decades, suitable for a wide range of livestock. It is approved as an animal stunning device by the Physikalisch-Technische Bundesanstalt (PTB) Braunschweig, Germany (PTB No. 1011), and may only be used for stunning animals intended for slaughter.
The energy of the cartridge is transferred to the bolt, which penetrates the skull and triggers a pressure wave that results in immediate, safe stunning of the animal. Thanks to its solid, nickel-plated construction and reinforced springs, the device remains reliable and durable even under tough daily use, while producing minimal recoil.
