Leimüller Mung Beans - Feeding Beans for Parakeets and Parrots

Mung beans as swelling, sprouting or cooked food as an ideal source of protein for larger parakeets & parrots. Rich in valuable nutrients also a healthy treat for dogs, ornamental poultry & rodents.

Mung beans are especially valuable for bird feeding because of their high protein content of approx. 24% and the high content of lysine (essential amino acid).

Our Leimüller mung beans contain many vitamins A, B1, B2, B3, B12 and C, as well as iron, potassium, calcium, magnesium, phosphorus and folic acid. Because of their mild, slightly nutty taste, they are popular with birds, dogs, poultry & rodents.

Mung beans should not be offered raw, but preferably cooked or sprouted. Otherwise the protein metabolism can be hindered by the inhibitors contained in the beans. A sprouting process increases the already contained vitamin E values.

Feeding instructions:

Only feed in moderation to the animals, as a small treat.
Only offer the bean seeds sprouted or in cooked food. Soaking time: 6-8 hours, germination time 3 days. Do not feed raw!

23.1% crude protein, 1.2% crude oils and fats, 15% crude fibre, 2.3% crude ash

Storage:

Store the feedstuff hygienically, dry, dark and cool. Protect from direct sunlight.
