Buckwheat belongs to the so-called pseudo cereals. The grain contains plenty of vitamin B1, B2, E as well as potassium, iron, calcium, magnesium and silicic acid. Buckwheat has a delicious nutty taste and is very popular with birds.

The grain is gluten-free and ideal for birds with wheat or gluten intolerance. The cereal contains a particularly high amount of lysine and dietary fibre, which optimally supplements the diet and leads to better utilisation of the proteins. Regular feeding of feed mixes with buckwheat also has a positive effect on cholesterol levels.
