Leimüller Rapeseed extraction meal - a valuable protein substitute in animal feed
Natural rapeseed extraction meal can completely replace soya extraction meal in livestock feed. Rich in high-quality protein and valuable nutrients for sustainable feeding.
Rapeseed extraction meal is produced in oil mills by extracting the rapeseed oil from the rapeseed. The feed is a high-quality and equivalent alternative to soya extraction meal for dairy cattle feeding, as the rapeseed protein is only slowly broken down in the rumen. The straight feedstuff is also becoming increasingly important in poultry, pig and livestock feeding.
Rapeseed meal has a residual fat content of about 2 - 4 %. Due to the oil extraction, the protein content of rapeseed meal increases to over 36 %. Properties such as the high proportion of usable crude protein and good digestibility make rapeseed meal a valuable feedstuff in dairy farming, fattening and rearing.
