Peanuts are also a tasty treat for domestic birds, e.g. parakeets, parrots and also for hamsters or other small rodents, but should only be fed in small quantities due to their high energy content.

Feeding instructions:

Peanuts can be offered to free-living garden & wild birds all year round. Pets such as parakeets, parrots and rodents should only be fed this single food in moderation. Ideal as a healthy treat for in-between meals or for that little extra in the main feed.

Note: Peanuts are not species-appropriate food for squirrels, even if they accept them at the feeding stations. The nuts do not occur in the natural food supply of these cute forest dwellers and can cause digestive problems and further harm.
