The  horsefly trap is the effective solution against an acute nuisance of horseflies and flies on your horse pasture or near the stable!

Many riders and stable owners protect their horses on the horse pasture and paddock with a reliable horsefly trap. The Agrarzone horsefly trap reliably reduces the emergence of up to 95 % of horseflies in the direct environment without poison and environmental pollution. Fewer horseflies means happier and more content horses. With the Agrarzone fly trap horses can relax in the paddock in spring, summer and autumn.

The horsefly trap has a maximum effective area of approx. 10,000 m² and is therefore and is therefore universally applicable wherever horseflies are a nuisance: Horse paddocks, cattle stables, riding schools, golf courses, gardens and (water) parks, amusement parks, along lakeshores and riversides.

This is how the horsefly trap works:

The large black attractant ball in the middle of the trap is warmed up by the sun and set in motion by the spring and the wind. In this way, the rubber ball simulates a living creature. As soon as the gadfly tries to stab into the sting-proof ball, it bounces off it. Since gadflies can only fly away upwards it is guided through the white umbrella in a funnel shape to the water-filled catch container, where it drowns.

Horseflies can only perceive light and dark contrasts similar to a thermal imaging camera. To increase the attractiveness of the horsefly trap, the protective screen is kept in the contrasting colour white as a demarcation to the supposed horse's backside.

These 4 points should be observed when using the horsefly trap:

1. Horseflies like to stay in wet places (ponds, pools, etc.). Locate these places to estimate a trajectory towards the target.
2. Place Horse-Eco in the flight path. Tend to be closer to where people and animals are staying (stables, gardens, etc.). Depending on the catchment area of the horseflies, you may need several Horse-Eco horsefly traps.
3. Check the trap container weekly (daily if there are many) to empty it or refill it with soapy water.
4. Set up the trap in good time from the time the female horseflies start to fly (from April).
