Many animals love rose hips: horses, dogs, birds, cats, rabbits, rodents & squirrels. This is not surprising, after all, the rose hip is full of positive and rich ingredients. The vitamin bomb contains 10 to 20 times the amount of vitamin C of a lemon. Apart from the high vitamin C content, rose hips are rich in many other valuable vitamins, e.g. A, B, E & K. Trace elements and minerals such as iron, copper, calcium, sodium and zinc are also present in generous quantities.
Rose hips are the ideal treat substitute for horses. Especially for horses that tend to be overweight, they are a low-calorie alternative to conventional snacks. The healthy fruits also promote hoof health, they are also a natural aid for joint pain and ensure a shiny, dandruff-free coat.
In dogs, rose hips are particularly useful for joint inflammation, e.g. osteoarthritis and hip joint or elbow dysplasia. Cats, rabbits, rodents and birds, e.g. parakeets, exotic birds and canaries, also enjoy the natural reward. Cut into small pieces, the fruits are the ideal supplement to conventional food.

Feeding instructions:
- Normal large horse: approx. 30 - 40 g / day.
- Pony & small horse: approx. 20 g / day
- Small dogs up to 15 kg: approx. 1/2 teaspoon / day
- Larger dogs over 15 kg: approx. 1-3 teaspoons / day
- Smaller rodents/rabbits: 1-2 rose hips / day
- Larger rodents/rabbits: 2-3 rose hips / day
