Popped maize is a high-energy, tasty feed, mainly for horses. The horse feed is best for heavy-fed horses or animals that are exposed to extreme cold and lose weight due to lack of energy. The energy-rich carbohydrate supplier ensures a rapid increase or regulation of body weight when fed daily. Horses that have to perform very physically and broodmares during lactation also benefit from the quickly available energy of the carbohydrate booster.
Horses love the tasty maize because it has a sweet, popcorn-like taste. The flaking process makes it much more digestible than whole maize kernels or ground maize. Due to the better digestion, the digestive system is less strained, the feed is better utilised and thus costs are saved compared to other maize products.
Maize can also be offered to dogs, rabbits and rodents in small quantities as a treat or if the animals are to gain more weight.

Feeding advice:
Popped maize contains a lot of starch and should therefore only be added to the basic feed as a supplement. In horse feed, max. 15 % of the basic feed can be replaced by maize flakes. For dogs, rabbits and rodents, popped maize serves as a small treat for in-between meals or to feed up emaciated animals.
Ingredients:
9.4 % crude protein, 4.1 % crude oils and fats, 2.3 % crude fibre, 1.4 % crude ash.
