Cows with an optimal calcium supply start lactation better, are healthier and give more milk. Each bolus provides 45 g of fast and slow available calcium plus 40,000 I.U. of vitamin D3. Calcium sources with different release rates supply the cow evenly over a longer period. As the bolus contains no corrosive calcium chloride, it is very well tolerated by the mucous membranes – without irritating the mouth, oesophagus or rumen.
