Questions & answers:
When does wild boar urine work best as an attractant?
During the rut from October to February, especially from November to January. At that time boar communicate through scents in urine and gland secretions, and even the otherwise solitary boars come in.
Can I use it to set up a rubbing tree?
Yes, rubbing trees are important scent points for wild boar, and older boars in particular check them regularly. Choose a tree with coarse bark, ideally on a game trail or at the edge of the woods, and spray the trunk at the boar's shoulder height.
Does urine scent keep wild boar away?
No, this urine scent is an attractant and draws boar in. If you want to keep wild boar away from your garden or field, you need a deterrent.
