Questions & answers:
Where is the best place to use the attractant?
On game trails, at the bait site or within sight of your high seat. Spray trees or shrubs there at the deer's nose height.
How often should I refresh the attractant?
Regularly, because the scent fades over time. After heavy rain you should definitely spray again.
Is it legal to attract red deer?
That is decided by the states or provinces, and the rules for red deer are often strict. In Lower Austria, for example, baiting red deer is only allowed in autumn and only with fruit or beet, so check the rules for your ground first.
