Full-Cheek Snaffle Bit Stainless Steel – calm mouth position and clear lateral guidance
The BUSSE Full-Cheek Snaffle Bit Stainless Steel, 16 mm, French-Link is a classic snaffle bit for riders who value precise communication with their horse. The French-link mouthpiece with elliptical centre piece provides gentle pressure distribution, while the 7 cm long cheeks support clear lateral framing when using one-sided rein aids.
The solid construction ensures a calm position in your horse's mouth and significantly reduces the risk of the mouthpiece being pulled sideways during one-sided rein use. The elliptical centre piece is matched to the bit size and thickness for a proper fit. For everyday stable and riding use, separate cheek loops are recommended to fix the upper cheek to the headpiece and prevent catching under the noseband.

FAQ:
Which bit width suits my horse?
Measure your horse's mouth width in advance, for example with a bit width gauge, to choose the right size between 12.5 cm and 17.5 cm.
What are the cheek loops for?
They fix the upper cheek to the headpiece and prevent the bit from catching under the noseband. They are sold separately.
How is the bit fitted correctly?
The BUSSE logo should sit on the left side of the horse's head, with the hollow side of the bit facing the throat.
Warning/safety instructions for bits
A bit should have the correct width for the horse's mouth, which is measured on the horse in advance. The BUSSE bit width gauge is suitable for this.
The choice of the right type of bit is individual and depends on many factors - such as the horse's level of training, its mouth shape and sensitivity, and the rider's hand. Therefore, it makes sense to try out dentures.
When strapping in the bit, make sure that it is strapped in correctly: the BUSSE logo is on the left side of the horse's head, with the hollow side of the bit pointing towards the throat and the other side towards the mouth outlet . (If the bit is correctly positioned in front of you, you can read the size label on the right shank the right way up - it is not upside down.)
It is important that the bit fits correctly into the bit straps of the bridle or curb is buckled. When buckled correctly using the bit straps, approx. 2-3 small wrinkles will form at the corners of the mouth.
The bit should be checked regularly for signs of wear, such as sharp edges, and replaced if necessary. Please only use the bit if it is in an appropriate condition that does not harm the horse's well-being.
