A standout feature is the patented, reversible circumference adjustment, which lets you fit the mask quickly to your horse's nose circumference – and keeps that setting even after removal. That saves time and reduces the risk of an incorrect fit next time, especially handy if someone else puts the mask on for you. The YKK zip along the lower jaw makes putting the mask on effortless, and is softly padded and secured. The special eye mesh reduces UV radiation by around 58% while still allowing good airflow.

Even with an optimally fitted fly mask, the fit must be checked regularly, conscientiously and professionally and corrected if necessary. If the fly mask slips, vision can be limited or lost. For the horse, a flight animal, this can lead to panic and cause accidents. The ideal seat can be jeopardized by, for example, rubbing in the head area or conspecifics kept in groups. The use of fly masks is not recommended in such individual cases. Check the fur and skin regularly for chafing. Even with optimally fitting fly masks, these can be caused by foreign substances (e.g. stones, insects) between the mask and the horse. The risk of skin irritation increases due to sweat. Clean the mask regularly.
