Agrarzone Sheep and Goat Feed Muesli is a coarsely structured concentrate feed for sheep and goats that you feed alongside hay, grass and pasture. Coarsely ground cereals, lucerne and sugar beet pulp stay visible in the mix, which is why even fussy animals take to it readily.

One point matters for mixed flocks: this muesli contains no added copper. Sheep tolerate far less copper than goats, which is why feeds formulated purely for goats are often unsuitable for them. Here you can feed both species from the same sack. The mix also supplies vitamins, trace elements, calcium and phosphorus for everyday supply.

Feeding recommendation:

This muesli is a concentrate feed and supplements the basic ration rather than replacing it. Hay, grass and pasture remain the foundation. The muesli covers additional energy needs, for example in late pregnancy, during lactation or when pasture growth is poor. As a rule of thumb from feeding practice, concentrate should not exceed around 40 percent of the daily ration so that roughage makes up the main part.

How much your animal actually needs depends on breed, weight and performance. Start with small portions and increase gradually over one to two weeks. Fresh water should always be available.

Can I feed this muesli to sheep and goats at the same time?
Yes. No copper has been added to the mix, and that is exactly what matters with mixed flocks: sheep tolerate far less copper than goats. Feeds made purely for goats often contain added copper and are therefore not intended for sheep.

Muesli or pellets, which suits better?
In muesli the components stay visible and coarsely structured, which suits natural chewing behaviour. Pellets have the advantage that no animal can pick out individual ingredients, so every animal gets the same mix. In larger groups with timid animals that speaks for pellets, with fussy eaters for muesli.
