Designed for use on the ground, it gives handlers noticeably more control the moment a horse pulls upward against the head strap. As soon as the horse rears, the bit applies immediate, effective pressure, helping to discourage the behaviour. When the horse is calm, it sits pressure-free in the mouth, adding to overall comfort. The chifney is always used together with a separately available head strap, to which a lead rope or chain is clipped. That means safer handling in the stable yard, at shows or out on the farm, without unnecessary strain on your horse.
