This Pelham bit with tongue port bar gives your horse's tongue optimum space. The flattened port shape helps many horses respond with improved suppleness and increased chewing – ideal from leisure riding to competition.

It's also well suited to horses that try to get their tongue over the bit, as the port effectively prevents this. Rein pressure acts on the mouth, lower jaw and poll; depending on shank length, you can achieve a varying strength of bit angulation. That makes it a good option for horses that struggle to come through at the poll, "hot" horses, or situations requiring clear input, such as jump-offs.
