The Agrarzone Brewers Yeast Plus is a complementary feed for poultry that helps through the moult and activates vitality and laying power. It is made of brewers grains, brewers yeast and a 6-herb natural recipe. Unlike the liquid products in the range it is dry, you mix it into the main feed instead of the drinker.

New plumage is almost entirely protein, and the blend brings plenty of it: 29,5 % crude protein from 57 % brewers grains and 38 % brewers yeast, plus the declared amino acids methionine (0,57 %) and lysine (1,70 %). The 5 % herbs are peppermint, echinacea, rosehips, milk thistle, artichoke and nettle.

Dried in the bag means: nothing to chill, nothing to freeze and nothing that has to be used up within a few days, the way you know it from fresh wet grains straight out of the brewery. You sprinkle 2 to 5 % onto the ration every day, above all during the moult in late summer and autumn.

Feeding recommendation:

Add 2 to 5 % to the daily ration.

The figure is a share, not a fixed amount per bird, it means 2 to 5 % of the total daily amount of feed. 1 kg of main feed therefore takes 20 to 50 g of Brewers Yeast Plus. Mix it into the dry main feed and stir it through firmly so the fine material spreads evenly.

What is the difference between brewers yeast and brewers grains, and why are both in here?
Both come out of beer brewing, but they are two different raw materials. Grains are the spent residue of the malt, mostly cereal husks, and supply the fibre. Brewers yeast comes from the fermentation and brings protein and amino acids, which is why there are 57 % grains and 38 % yeast in here.

Does brewers yeast help against feather pecking and bald patches in the plumage?
No. Feather pecking is as a rule a husbandry matter, it comes from too little space, missing occupation, light that is too bright or boredom in the house. A feed supplement changes nothing about that, for that you work on stocking density, litter, scratching opportunities and a dust bath.

Sprinkle it over the feed dry or moisten it? Here it just blows away as dust.
Both work, moistened is the calmer route. Put the weighed amount over the feed and stir in a small splash of lukewarm water, then the fine material sticks to the grain. Only make up moist feed in portions and clear away leftovers.
