Oregano for chickens and a healthy digestion: Agrarzone FloraPlus 500 ml
Agrarzone FloraPlus is a liquid complementary feed for poultry that you give via the drinking water. It stands for a healthy digestion and activates the gut flora, and natural oregano oil together with turmeric oil and ginseng sees to that.
Oregano is the herb that comes up most often in poultry keeping when the gut is the subject. Here it sits ready dosed in the bottle: a flavouring blend of origanum, devil's claw, eucalyptus, mint and artichoke at 26.000 mg per litre, plus turmeric oil at 1.000 mg and ginseng at 8.000 mg per litre.
You have nothing to steep and nothing to weigh out, 100 ml per 100 litres of water is enough. Via the drinker you reach every bird at the same time, including the low-ranking ones that come last at the trough. As a complementary feed FloraPlus comes on top of the complete feed, it does not replace it.
Overview:
- For a healthy digestion, activates the gut flora
- Liquid complementary feed for poultry, given via the drinker
- Flavouring blend with oregano, devil's claw, eucalyptus, mint and artichoke
- Additionally with turmeric oil (2b163-eo) and ginseng (2b318-t)

Feeding recommendation:
You can use this feed by adding 100 ml to 100 litres of water. The feeding recommendation should not be exceeded. That works out at 1 ml per litre of ready drinking water, so 5 ml for a 5 litre drinker bucket.
The feeding recommendation sets no fixed schedule, that is up to you. The stated amount remains the upper limit. Only mix as much drinking water as the birds drink on the same day.
Composition:
Propylene glycol, dextrose, sodium chloride
The composition lists the feed materials in descending order of their share. Propylene glycol and dextrose form the liquid base here, carrying the flavourings and the other additives.
Analytical constituents:
- Crude protein: 0,00 %
- Crude fat: 1,00 %
- Crude fibre: 0,20 %
- Crude ash: 0,20 %
- Sodium: 0,08 %
- Moisture: 94,10 %
The analytical constituents refer to the undiluted product in the bottle, not to the ready drinking water. The moisture figure of 94,10 % shows how thin the product is.
Additives per litre:
- Sensory additives, 2b flavourings: Mixture of flavourings (oregano, devil's claw, eucalyptus, mint and artichoke) 26.000 mg, turmeric oil (2b163-eo) 1.000 mg, ginseng (2b318-t) 8.000 mg
- Technological additives: Citric acid (1a330) 1.000 mg, glycerol polyethylene glycol ricinoleate (E484), potassium sorbate (1k202) 2.000 mg, sodium propionate (1k281) 2.000 mg
Additives are grouped according to their function. Sensory additives shape smell and taste, technological additives keep the product in the bottle stable and durable. All figures refer to one litre of undiluted product.

Questions and answers:
Does oregano work against coccidia?
No. FloraPlus is a complementary feed for poultry and not a product against parasites. Coccidia are identified through a faecal sample and treated by a vet. With worms the route runs the same way.
Why should I buy this when I have oregano in the garden?
Because with the bottle you know what is in it and how much. The flavouring blend sits at 26.000 mg per litre, and you dose 1 ml per litre instead of counting drops by feel. Garden oregano varies by variety and harvest time.
Will the chickens even accept the water with oregano in it?
Some birds need a day or two before they take to the flavoured water, others drink straight away. During the changeover put out an additional drinker with plain water, which matters especially in summer. Mix smaller amounts that empty quickly.
