Agrarzone MiteCare Liquid complementary feed with oregano, 500 ml
The Agrarzone MiteCare Liquid is a liquid complementary feed with the oregano power formula that you offer via the drinking water. It is the liquid addition to the MiteCare mite spray for the house: the spray works on the fittings, the Liquid goes through the drinker.
The bottle holds three purely plant-based tinctures: oregano, rose and echinacea, at 7.950 to 8.840 mg per kg. You add them straight to the drinker, without mixing up a powder.
It is given as a course: 1 ml per litre of drinking water for 5 days, then a 5-day break, then another 5 days. After that, 2 to 3 doses a week are enough. As a complementary feed, MiteCare Liquid comes on top of the complete feed, it does not replace it.
Overview:
- With the oregano power formula of purely plant-based tinctures
- Liquid complementary feed for the drinking water
- With oregano, rose and echinacea tincture as flavourings
- Sparing dosage at 1 ml per litre of drinking water
- With citric acid and potassium sorbate as technological additives
- Simply add to the drinker, no powder to mix up
- 500 ml bottle, keeps at least 24 months from production
Feeding recommendation:
1 ml per litre of drinking water for 5 days, then take a 5-day break and then add to the drinking water for another 5 days. From then on, an administration of 2-3 times per week is sufficient. Shake well before use!
In practice: 1 ml per litre means 5 ml for a 5 litre bucket. Only ever prepare as much as the birds drink in one day, and treat it as a course rather than a permanent supply: five days on, five days off, another five days, after which 2 to 3 doses a week are enough.
Composition:
Water, propylene glycol, glycerine, sodium chloride
Analytical constituents:
- Crude protein: 0,50 %
- Crude fat: 0,50 %
- Crude fibre: 0,50 %
- Crude ash: 1,00 %
- Calcium: 0,00 %
- Sodium: 0,03 %
- Methionine: 0,05 %
- Lysine: 0,05 %
- Moisture: 95,0 %
The analytical constituents are the declaration required for the composition. At 95 per cent moisture the product consists almost entirely of water, so it does not supply any appreciable amount of nutrients, that is what the complete feed is for.
Additives per kg:
- Technological additives: Citric acid (1a330) 1.990 mg, potassium sorbate (1k202) 1.325 mg
- Sensory additives (flavourings): Oregano tincture, Origanum vulgare L. (COE 317) 7.950 mg, rose tincture, Rosa canina L. (COE 403) 7.950 mg, echinacea tincture, Echinacea purpurea (L.) Moench. 8.840 mg
The quantities refer to one kilogram of product, not to the prepared drinker. At a dosage of 1 ml per litre, correspondingly little of it ends up in the drinking water.
Storage:
Store the complementary feed hygienically, cool and dry, tightly closed and protected from light. The minimum shelf life applies only under these storage conditions, and in the case of improper storage the manufacturer accepts no liability. Keeps at least 24 months from production.

Questions and answers:
Can I eat the eggs as normal during the course?
You can use the eggs as normal during the course. MiteCare Liquid is a complementary feed for the drinking water, and no withdrawal period is foreseen for it. Stick to the dose of 1 ml per litre and make up the drinking water fresh every day.
Is this the same as the oregano oil products everyone recommends in the forum?
No, it is a different raw material. The well known products work with highly concentrated essential oregano oil, whereas this one contains oregano, rose and echinacea tincture as flavourings. A tincture is a plant extract and therefore far less concentrated than an essential oil.
Will the hens still drink the water at all with oregano in it?
That varies, some birds take flavoured water straight away, others need a day or two. Start on a cool day and watch whether the drinker empties as usual. If the birds drink clearly less, stop and offer plain water, and never increase the dosage.
