What is the difference between a body brush and a dandy brush?
A dandy brush has stiff bristles for mud and coarse dirt. A body brush is soft and dense and takes out the fine dust that is left behind.

Can I use it on the face?
On most horses yes, carefully. For heads and legs a dedicated face brush with extra soft bristles is the gentler option.

How do I keep the bristles clean?
Draw the brush across a metal or rubber curry comb every few strokes so the dust does not go straight back onto the horse.
