Kerbl PrimaFlex ear tags: recognise your animals at a glance

With the Kerbl PrimaFlex ear tags you mark your animals for everyday work on the farm. When feeding, treating or moving animals, you know straight away which one is in front of you. The tags are used on pigs, calves, cattle and sheep. They complement the official ear tags but do not replace them.

First choose the size, then decide whether you want the tags blank or numbered. You write on blank tags yourself. The numbered tags are embossed on both sides, so the number is easy to read from the front and the back.

How the number blocks work:

Each numbered pack contains 25 ear tags with consecutive numbers. Choose the block you need: 001-025, 026-050, 051-075 or 076-100. If you need 50 tags numbered 1 to 50, for example, add the blocks 001-025 and 026-050 to your basket.

Questions & answers:

Do PrimaFlex ear tags replace the official ear tags?
No. Cattle, pigs, sheep and goats must still carry the official ear tags, which you get from the responsible authority in your country. You use the PrimaFlex tags in addition for identification on your own farm.

Which pliers do I need for PrimaFlex ear tags?
You need the Kerbl ear tag pliers for PrimaFlex with the black insert. They fit all four sizes from 0 to 3 and are available from us as a separate item.

How do I write on blank ear tags so the marking lasts?
Use a special weatherproof ear tag marker. The tag should be clean and dry. Let the writing dry well before you insert the tag.
