BUSSE RAINFLY Turnout Rug – rain and fly protection combined
Changeable weather with sun and showers calls for a versatile solution: the BUSSE RAINFLY Turnout Rug combines a durable paddock rain rug with a fly rug in one design. It keeps your horse's sensitive back muscles dry while the side mesh and light-coloured fabric help prevent overheating and keep insects away.
The back, chest area and tail flap are made from waterproof, breathable 420 denier polyester, fully lined with a coat-friendly satin lining. The side panels use a hard-wearing polyester mesh in a fine special weave, making the rug both breathable and resilient. Combine it with the RAINFLY neck cover (#603603) for complete all-weather protection.

Warning/safety instructions for horse blankets
For optimal use of a horse blanket, pay attention to the correct size, fit and suitable material to ensure protection and comfort. When choosing a blanket, consider whether it is suitable for the intended use. Check this carefully or seek expert advice - use our size guide and advice.
For the final adjustment of a horse blanket, the adjustment options on the product should be used, as incorrect application can lead to damage. Even with optimal adjustment, regular checks of the fit are essential. Check that the blanket fits correctly, the Velcro fasteners are clean (to avoid chafing) and the blanket is intact.
Depending on the weather conditions, the right blanket model should be chosen to protect the horse from overheating or cold. Waterproofing can be crucial if necessary - you can find information on this in our guides. When kept in groups, the ideal fit of the blanket can be jeopardized by members of the same species. We recommend adjusting the ceiling control distances accordingly.
Check the horse's fur and skin regularly for chafe marks, as these can occur due to dirt between the blanket and the horse, even with optimally fitting blankets.
Instructions on the washing process
You can wash your blanket on a gentle cycle at 30° with a suitable blanket detergent. The blanket should have enough space in the washing machine. Make sure to close all fasteners on the blankets before washing. Even when closed, components of the blanket can damage the washing machine during the washing process. To prevent this, buckles in particular should be removed or padded so that they are machine washable. Horse blankets should be spun at a maximum of 600-800 revolutions/minute.
