The beris short Pelham with KONNEX tongue port combines the effect of a tongue port with the benefits of a butterfly bar. The slimmer profile of the KONNEX bar sits comfortably in the horse's mouth and creates significantly more room – ideal for horses with limited mouth space, such as thoroughbred types or older horses.

When the reins are applied, the bit acts on the mouth, lower jaw and poll. Depending on the shank length (5 cm or 7.5 cm), you can achieve a different strength and directness of bit angulation. This makes the Pelham suitable for horses that struggle to come through at the poll, „hot“ horses, or situations that need clear input. Every metal part is hand-formed, welded and polished in the beris manufactory, and the mouthpiece is made of food-grade plastic with an especially smooth surface.
