Corner Insulators: High Stability & Safe Direction Changes

Safely absorb the tensile forces at the corners of your electric fence. Sturdy fastenings reliably protect the conductor material from damage.

Corner Insulators: Reliable Hold for High Tension

High tensile forces act on the fastenings of an electric fence at corners, fence starts, and directional changes. Normal line insulators are often not designed for this mechanical load. Special corner insulators are built sturdily, have strong metal cores, and safely absorb these forces.

Roller Insulators Protect the Conductor Material

So-called roller insulators are very popular in fence corners. The conductor material is not pulled over a rigid plastic edge here but runs over a movable roller. This has two decisive advantages: The polywire, rope, or tape does not chafe, and retensioning the fence works smoothly because the roller transmits the pull well.

High Break Resistance for Long Fences

A torn-off insulator in the corner causes the fence to sag and lose its safety. Corner insulators are made of impact-resistant plastic and strong metal reinforcements. They firmly anchor the conductor material to the corner post and ensure a permanently taut enclosure.

Frequently Asked Questions about Corner Insulators

Can't I just screw several ring insulators next to each other in the corner?
This is not recommended. Even if the force is distributed, the conductor material bends at too sharp an angle. It rubs against the plastic edges and breaks over time. Only corner insulators offer the necessary radius and stability.

How do I attach thick pasture ropes in the corner?
Roller insulators are best suited for thick pasture ropes. The rope sits neatly in the groove of the roller, is not squeezed, and can be easily retensioned at any time.

Which insulators do I use for wide tapes?
There are special corner and tape tensioning insulators for electric fence tapes. These fix the tape over its full width so that it does not twist or fold when changing direction.

Reliable Fastenings for Fence Corners

The conductor material is heavily stressed at the corner points of a pasture. To absorb the occurring tensile forces, corner insulators are very important. They are significantly more stable than conventional line insulators and prevent the conductor material from breaking out or the insulator from tearing out of the wood under tension.

Corner insulators with integrated rollers work in a particularly gentle way. They allow problem-free retensioning of the fence, as the polywire or rope glides over the roller without much resistance. In our range, you will find resilient models for tapes, ropes, and wires that keep your fence system permanently taut.
