The barrier consists of flexible fiberglass rods that conduct the electricity of the fence. When a vehicle drives against it, the rods bend softly to the side and glide over the car or tractor. As soon as the vehicle has passed, the rods automatically swing back into their original position. The fence is immediately closed again and reliably electrified.
Many animal owners are concerned that the flexible rods could scratch the paintwork. High-quality drive-through gates, however, are covered with soft, conductive rubber or special materials. They leave no marks on cars or agricultural machinery. For the animals, on the other hand, they represent an insurmountable visual and electrical barrier.
Do you get an electric shock when driving through?
No. The vehicles are insulated from the ground by their rubber tires. The occupants in the cabin feel absolutely nothing of the electrical voltage when driving through.
Do the rods reliably stop the animals?
Yes. The animals stand on the ground and receive a harmless but effective electrical impulse when they touch the barrier. They learn very quickly to respect the gate.
What drive-through widths are these gates available for?
The gates are available in various widths, mostly for entrances from 3.60 meters up to 5 meters or more. The flexible rods can also be adapted to individual conditions on some models.
