- Appropriate Height: Normal sheep nets are too low for horses. Horse nets feature a taller design (often 145 cm) to reliably prevent jumping over.
- Stability: Integrated posts (made of fibreglass or robust plastic) with double prongs guarantee a firm hold in the ground, even in wind or soft soil.
- Conductivity: Woven-in stainless steel or copper conductors ensure a continuous flow of electricity. Upon contact, the horse receives a safe, deterrent pulse.
Frequently Asked Questions
Is electric netting suitable for shod horses?
Yes, but the net must always be supplied with sufficient power (via a suitable energizer). The electrical current prevents the horse from pawing at the net and getting its horseshoe caught in the mesh.
Do I need additional tools for installation?
No. The posts are already firmly integrated into the net. The net is simply rolled out and the posts are stepped into the ground with your foot. Additional guy ropes can be used to tension the corners.
