Field Shelters & Pasture Tents: Flexible Protection for Your Animals

Looking for a weatherproof shelter for the paddock? Discover our robust pasture tents and field shelters for year-round protection of your herd.

Field Shelters & Pasture Tents: Mobile Weather Protection

If you want to offer your animals a safe retreat in the paddock, a mobile pasture tent or field shelter is the ideal alternative to a permanently built stable. These robust shelters offer reliable protection from blazing sun, heavy rain, wind, and annoying insects. Made from a solid, hot-dip galvanized steel tube frame and an extremely tear-resistant tarpaulin, they easily withstand even harsh weather conditions. A huge advantage: you generally do not need a solid concrete foundation for pasture tents, which greatly speeds up assembly and often saves you from having to obtain complex building permits. This keeps you flexible, and you can change the location of the shelter at any time if necessary.

Storm-Proof and UV-Resistant

The tarpaulins of our pasture tents are made of high-quality, UV-resistant PVC or PE material. They protect the herd from dangerous heat in the summer and provide a dry, draft-free shelter in the autumn and winter. To ensure that the tent stands securely even in strong gusts, it is firmly anchored in the ground with special ground anchors (pegs). In addition, clever tensioning systems ensure that the tarpaulin always sits tightly on the frame and cannot form water pockets.

Versatile Uses

Pasture tents are not just a perfect retreat for horses, cattle, or sheep. Many farmers also use the spacious huts as weatherproof storage areas for hay, straw, agricultural machinery, or tractors. This way, you can protect your valuable equipment or feed directly on the pasture.

Frequently Asked Questions about Pasture Tents

Do I need a building permit for a pasture tent?
Since pasture tents are not permanently connected to the ground (no foundation), they are considered "temporary structures" in many regions and often do not require a permit. However, to be on the safe side, briefly check with your local council beforehand, as regulations can vary locally.

Can the pasture tent remain standing in winter?
Yes, the frame constructions and tarpaulins are designed for year-round outdoor use. In the event of heavy snowfall, however, make sure that too high a snow load does not accumulate on the roof and sweep the snow off regularly if necessary.

How is the tent secured in the ground?
It is usually fixed using long pegs (ground anchors) that are driven deep into the ground. In very soft soils or locations exposed to storms, storm securing sets or weights can additionally be attached to the tent feet.

Mobile Shelters for Horses, Cattle, and Sheep

Animals kept outdoors year-round or seasonally absolutely need protection from the weather. If building a permanent stable is not an option, field shelters and pasture tents are the perfect solution. The combination of a heavy, galvanized steel frame and a thick PVC tarpaulin ensures a durable and storm-proof construction. Since no concrete foundation is necessary, the shelter can be set up quickly and flexibly moved to another pasture if required.

The spacious tents provide cool shade in the summer and reliably keep out rain and wind in the winter. In addition to animal husbandry, the mobile huts are also excellently suited as temporary hay storage or as a shelter for tractors and agricultural equipment. Simply anchor the tent in the ground with our ground pegs and create a safe retreat in record time.
