Hay Tote: Clean Transport and Feeding in One

Carry hay comfortably and crumb-free through the stable. Discover practical hay totes with carrying straps and feeding openings for the box and on the go.

Hay Totes: Practical Hay Transport Without Crumbs

Every rider knows the problem: If you carry loose hay on a pitchfork or in your arms from the feed room to the box, a trail of stalks and dust is left behind on the freshly swept stable aisle. A hay tote is the clever solution to this everyday annoyance. With its practical carrying straps, it allows a clean, comfortable, and effortless transport of the daily hay ration. The solid material reliably catches hay dust and crumbs, so that your stable aisle and your clothes remain spotlessly clean. In addition, many models are designed so that they can not only be used for carrying but also directly as a hanging feeding station.

Killing Two Birds with One Stone: Transport and Feeding

High-quality hay totes feature an integrated mesh or round feeding openings on the front. You can conveniently fill the tote in the hay room, carry it to the box or horse trailer, and hang it up directly by the straps. The annoying transfer from the transport container into a hay net is completely eliminated. This saves an enormous amount of time in daily stable work.

The Perfect Companion at Competitions

At a show or on a trail ride, a compact hay tote is worth its weight in gold. It can be stored in the car or the tack room of the trailer to save space. The rectangular bag design ensures that square bale slices can be inserted perfectly and easily without having to painstakingly pull the hay apart.

Frequently Asked Questions

What is the difference between a hay bag and a hay tote?
The boundaries are often blurred. A hay bag is usually cylindrical or round and is primarily used for feeding. A hay tote is often cut square (like a carrying bag), has longer carrying straps, and focuses heavily on the clean transport of rations across the yard in addition to feeding.

Are hay totes waterproof?
Most hay totes are made of water-repellent material such as 600D nylon or polyester. They protect the hay from light rain and damp ground if you set them down briefly. In continuous outdoor rain, however, the tote should hang under a roof so that the hay does not get soaked through the feeding opening.

How much hay fits in a hay tote?
That depends on the size. A classic hay tote holds about 5 to 8 kg of hay, which often corresponds to a large pitchfork portion or 2-3 "slices" of a square bale. However, there are also jumbo hay totes for transporting daily rations (up to 15 kg).

Robust Carrier Bags for Roughage

Keep your stable aisle and your car clean! With a robust hay tote, you transport loose rations or pressed hay slices very comfortably and absolutely dust-free. Unlike transport in open buckets or on a pitchfork, the hay stays where it belongs: in the bag.

In our range, you will find models made of tear-resistant, water-repellent fabric. Hay totes that are provided with a feeding grid or cutouts on the front are particularly practical. You can simply hang them in the horse box or trailer after transport and immediately allow your horse a clean, slow intake of roughage. Make your everyday stable life easier now!
