CosyHeat Heating plate for chicks incl. thermostat 25 W, 30 x 30 cm The ideal hen replacement for chick rearing: Cosy warmth for up to 25 chicks with the CosyHeat heating plate. After hatching, chicks have a special need for warmth. In natural brooding, they warm themselves under the feathers of the mother hen (mother hen). The heat accumulates there and the chicks enjoy the cosy temperature. Our CosyHeat heating plate works exactly like this: The heating plate radiates the heat downwards, creating a heat cushion. The chicks hatch under the heating plate and rest in the rest in the cosy warmth. As with the feathers of the mother hen, the chicks can snuggle up to the heating plate without the risk of overheating. With the help of an integrated rotary control the temperature can be infinitely adjusted to the heat requirements of the chicks. The likewise integrated thermostat ensures a constant temperature under the plate. It heats until the desired temperature is reached and maintains it. Since the heating plate does not heat permanently, it is significantly more energy-saving and therefore more cost-efficient than conventional radiant heaters. They only leave the warming plate to eat and drink. Incorrect temperature Setting: If the chicks are restless under the warming plate, clump together, peep and do not come out from under it, the temperature is set too low. The chicks are too cold. Increase the temperature using the dial on the plate. If the temperature is set too high, the chicks will only stay at the edge of the hot plate or even outside. Reduce the temperature using the control knob on the plate so that the animals do not get too hot. Note: The temperature can also be controlled indirectly using the legs. If the temperature is too low, set the plate lower, if too high, set it higher. If your chicks are of different sizes and have different heating requirements, you can set the plate at an angle.
